Mobile Technology Across the Campus: Challenges and Successes The presenter will summarize how and why one growing Intensive English Program has implemented iPads and mobile learning strategies over the past three years, citing examples of challenges and successes faced along the way and speculation as to how such technologies will be managed in the future.

From Mobile to Learning This talk will focus on practical applications of the use of iPads in the classroom, showing the Brazilian experience with a school-wide mlearning Project. It will highlight the possibilities and examples of language practice and production through the use of mobile devices in the classroom with all proficiency levels and ages.

Several initiatives in mobile-assisted language learning are currently taking place in various parts of India. These involve tablets, MP3 players, and the use of “feature phones.” The presenter will describe these initiatives and provide a context in which they occur.

Claire Bradin Siskin is an enthusiastic practitioner of computer-assisted language learning (CALL). She is a Senior English Language Fellow in Chandigarh, India. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of TESOL.
Paul Daniels is a language professor at Kochi University of Technology in Kochi, Japan. He started his teaching career 20 years ago in Honolulu, Hawaii and has been teaching EFL in Japan for the past 18 years. His research involves CALL, mobile learning and project-based instruction.
